Silent Hill 2 Bug Room Code Solution
At this point, you’re nearing the final stages of the horror game, so the puzzles are only getting more difficult. As such, it can be easy to overthink the roach room puzzle when you’re suddenly trapped among hundreds of buzzing Silent Hill 2 critters in the puzzle game, but it’s simpler than you might think. Here’s what you need to know about the Silent Hill 2 remake roach room combination lock solution, and this applies to both the original game and the remake.
How do you solve the Silent Hill 2 bug room puzzle?
On the Silent Hill 2 remake bug room keypad, two or three numbers are highlighted – they’re the ones with no blood on them – and your solution is a combination of those numbers. There is no way to know what order they go in, so you just have to try each solution. If two numbers are highlighted, one of them needs to be entered twice.
As you can see in our example above, the numbers 2, 3, and 9 are highlighted. Our only options, therefore, are 239, 293, 329, 392, 923, or 932, so there thankfully aren’t too many variants to work through. If you don’t work fast enough, though, you could be interrupted by creepers biting at your ankles. They deal damage, so don’t let them keep attacking you. The roaches come out in waves, so you do get a few moments respite each time to try entering codes.
That’s all you need to know about the Silent Hill 2 roach room puzzle – like we said, it’s easy to overthink this one. It’s nice that this simple puzzle sticks to the formula of the original story game though, something we discuss in our Silent Hill 2 review is that many of the sections have been extended, like the Silent Hill 2 coin puzzle, and the classic game has doubled in length.
