Path Of Exile 2 Preload Times Explained

As the early access PoE 2 release date approaches, we wouldn’t be surprised if you’re eager to get into the game as soon as possible. It’s a vast and challenging ARPG after all, and you need every moment you can as you get to grips with the Path of Exile 2 classes and its huge new skill tree. Luckily, we now know you can pre-download Path of Exile 2 so it’s ready to go at launch.

Path of Exile 2 PC preload times

The early access Path of Exile 2 PC preload times are:

PST – Thursday, December 5 at 5pm EST – Thursday, December 5 at 8pm GMT – Friday, December 6 at 1am CEST – Friday, December 6 at 2am AEDT – Friday, December 6 at 12pm

Path of Exile 2 is free-to-play and is available on Steam and Epic Games, as well as via a standalone launcher on Windows and Mac. The preload times listed above only refer to the standalone client, you cannot preload the game using a third-party launcher. The standalone client will be available to download from the official Path of Exile website at the above time. While there may be a small patch to download at launch, it will take a fraction of the time of the full download.
If you are planning to play or have purchased the game on console, an official post from GGG states that pre-download is already available on Xbox. Meanwhile, for PlayStation, “Founder’s Packs should go live 24 hours before Early Access starts. Purchasing one of these packs should allow for pre-download on PS5.”
With that, you have almost everything you need ahead of the Path of Exile 2 preload times and release date.
