How To Inspect Weapons In Black Ops 6
You’ve put in all the hard work to earn those Black Ops 6 camos, and now it’s time to reap the benefits in the FPS game. Not only should your opponents see your weapon skins, but using the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 inspect weapon feature, you too can bask in the glory of your shiny camos.
Black Ops 6 inspect weapons
The way you inspect weapons in Black Ops 6 is slightly different from previous Call of Duty games, specifically for controller users or PC users with customized controls.
Here’s what you need to inspect weapons in Black Ops 6:
After the match has officially begun, pull out the weapon you want to inspect. This can be a primary, secondary, or melee weapon. Press the ‘I’ key, or hold ‘Left’ on your D-Pad if you’re using a controller. As you hold left on a controller, the emotes menu will pop up on the screen. Let go of the button and you will begin to inspect your weapon.
Unlike previous years, the inspect weapons function when using a controller is tucked away in the emotes section. That’s the reason you might not have spotted the option in the settings, Black Ops 6 doesn’t make it clear that it’s now classed as an emote.
While inspecting your weapon, you don’t need to worry about being caught with your pants down, so to speak, as you’re able to fire your gun during the inspect animation. There’s even an animation using the 9mm Pistol where you physically remove the magazine from the weapon, but you can shoot your gun at any point in the inspection.
Be warned that there is a slight delay when firing your weapon during the animation compared as the game has to end the animation first. It’s only half a second at most, though that might be just enough time to lose a gun fight, so don’t take any chances.
