Fortnite Server Status And Extended Downtime
Any downtime in Fortnite is annoying, particularly if you’ve only got a few hours in the day to play the battle royale game, but the servers can go down at any point. If Fortnite is down and you’re locked out right now, find out why below. And, while you wait to drop back into the latest Fortnite map, take the time to check out the best Fortnite weapons for the current meta or which Fortnite NPCs you can hire this season.
Fortnite server status right now
Fortnite servers are currently online and running smoothly. If you’re having issues, it might be worth checking your internet connection, and that your game is up-to-date.
Generally speaking, Fortnite servers only go down during maintenance periods between patch updates or when demand is increased to the point of overloading servers, such as the first day of Lego Fortnite going live. There have been exceptions where things have taken longer, like the prolonged downtime at the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 where the maintenance period was extended by eight hours. If and when this happens, we’ll let you know.
While Fortnite servers are up and running, you can buy or earn the latest Fortnite skins. While they’re down, you can always look ahead to the next Fortnite season.
