Black Ops 6 Battle Pass Explained
Players will likely be focusing on the Black Ops 6 battle pass for the new BO6 weapons on the horizon – any new guns being added to the FPS game will generally be locked behind one of the tiers on the battle pass. These new weapons are behind free tiers, thankfully, and just require some time and effort to unlock, meaning that you’ll be able to add them to your best BO6 loadouts in no time. Here is how the new BO6 battle pass works.
BO6 battle pass explained
The Black Ops 6 battle pass is changing from MW3, moving away from its hexagonal grid to a more linear ‘book’-like system. Players will begin, funnily enough, at the beginning of this book.
Each page of the battle pass will have six total unlocks, which can be anything from new weapons to operator skins, and players must unlock a total of five of these before they can move to the next page. Unlocking items on the battle pass requires tokens, which are earned by playing Black Ops 6, or Warzone.
There are two items per page available to non-paying players – you must still unlock the rest to proceed, but unless you have the premium or Blackcell versions of the pass, those free players won’t receive these premium items. Once you have spent five tokens on the current page, the next will open, and you can proceed.
Each page of the BO6 battle pass will also contain a HVT item – usually a special cosmetic – which is only available to premium or Blackcell battle pass owners. This item is automatically unlocked once all six segments of the current page have been unlocked. If you want to speed through the pages of the battle pass, simply unlock the minimum of five items per page, but if you’re a completionist, then it’s six unlocks per page, plus the HVT item.
Those who opt to pay for the Blackcell version of the battle pass can begin their unlock journey at any page and progress non-linearly through the rewards system. Blackcell owners will also be treated to some instant unlocks to the tune of two entire pages of exclusive cosmetics and items.
Now that you know how the BO6 battle pass works, you just have to hang on for BO6 season 1 and prepare for the new shiny cosmetics to grace your operator. If want something a little less sweaty and a little more bite-y to pass the time, we have all of the Terminus and Liberty Falls zombie easter eggs right here.
