Best Wuthering Waves Echoes List
When an Echo is equipped, the primary slot unlocks a powerful Echo Skill to use in battle. With three Resonators available at any time, and each Resonator capable of equipping up to five Echoes, there’s a staggering amount of customization to tinker with. If you’re just jumping into Wuthering Waves, check out the best Wuthering Waves weapons and how to get more Wuthering Waves tides. With that information under your belt, read on to find out all you need to know about the available Echoes in the game.
Best Wuthering Waves Echoes
Like everything in Wuthering Waves, Echoes require items to upgrade. These items are called Sealed Tubes, which you can find from defeating boss monsters or by leveling up your Data Bank (which is done by absorbing more Echoes). These items aren’t too rare; it’s fine to experiment with certain types of Echoes to suit your playstyle.
You also shouldn’t worry too much about finding specific Echoes until you raise your Data Bank level, which will in turn allow you to find higher rarities of Echoes with higher base stats.
Echoes are best used with other Echoes of the same type to unlock Sonata Effects in sets of two or five. Two Sun-sinking Eclipse Echoes, for example, will unlock Havoc DMG +10%, while five Sun-sinking Eclipse Echoes adds Havoc DMG +7.5% after every attack, stacking up to four times. This works great with Taoqui, as she’s a Havoc-damage dealing Resonator; however, this is less valuable on Jianxin who does Aero damage.
That said, the Overlord/Calamity tier of Echoes are generally more powerful than the others. Here are the most powerful Echoes according to our own experience at the Wuthering Waves community:
Crownless (Sun-sinking Eclipse) Felian Beringal (Sierra Gale) Inferno Rider (Molten Rift) Lamylumen Myriad (Freezing Frost) Mech Abomination (Lingering Tunes) Mourning Aix (Celestial Light) Thundering Memphis (Void Thunder)
All Wuthering Waves Echoes
There are over 50 Echoes in Wuthering Waves that cost either one, three, or four energy to equip. Resonators have a ten energy limit, so you must strike a balance between the power of an Echo and the amount of energy available to you, along with pairing them with similar types to trigger Sonata Effects. Keep in mind that rarer versions of these Echoes also have higher stats, and the percentage of damage they do changes based on their levels and ranks. Monsters with multiple Sonata Effects have a chance of dropping with one of them, though it appears some are rarer than others.
