All Hogwarts Legacy Beasts And Where To Find Them

Accessed via the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement, the Vivarium is a serene garden where you can keep some of these fantastic beasts as pets. It’s just one of the many places you can explore within the expansive Hogwarts Legacy map. Depending on which house you are sorted into, you can access one of the many Hogwarts Legacy common rooms to chill out and relax after hours of playing the campaign. However, nothing is more relaxing in the RPG game than playing ball with an adorable Mooncalf. We encourage you to take some time away from blasting dark wizards and take care of these Hogwarts Legacy beasts, including special shiny creatures – if you’re lucky.

Hogwarts Legacy beast locations list

To catch a Hogwarts Legacy beast, you need to use a Nab-Sack. You get one of these during the story quest The Elf, The Nab-Sack, And The Loom. Here, you’ll get tips on catching monsters in their dens, such as using Hogwarts Legacy spells such as Levioso to hold these critters in place while the Nab-Sack works. You can put them in one of the vivariums in the Room of Requirement or sell them to Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade. Oh, but don’t worry about their welfare if you sell them. They’re apparently in safe hands.
There are four vivariums in total, and you get access to the other three by completing each of Deek’s side quests, allowing you to raise multiple beasts in different biomes. There’s no advantage to raising beasts in specific biomes, however. If you need to release some beasts, why not sell them at the Brood & Peck in Hogsmeade? You will always get the same amount of galleons per beast, but they’re safe from poachers, and it’s a good way of making money quickly in Hogwarts Legacy.
While many monsters exist in the Harry Potter universe, only a few can inhabit the havens in the Room of Requirement. Here is where you can find every Hogwarts Legacy beast den:

Shiny Hogwarts Legacy beasts

When searching dens for these incredible creatures, you can find a shiny beast variant – just like a shiny Pokémon. While we don’t know quite what the rates are for these special beasts, they don’t seem to be too rare. We even had one in our collection without realizing it.
Beasts are far from the only thing to discover in this massive game, so check out the Hogwarts Legacy map to see how big the game is and meet the Hogwarts Legacy characters who can help or hinder you on your academic journey. In addition, you can now tinker with the game’s code by using Hogwarts Legacy mods, which can add useful hints for those pesky Hogwarts Legacy door number puzzles or amusing new features to the open-world game.
The creator of the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years. Warner Bros. has the license to make games based on Harry Potter. While the details of that deal aren’t publicly known, and WB Games says, “J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game”, it is likely that, as the creator and owner of the Harry Potter IP, she will earn royalties from its sales. If you’d like to learn more about transgender equality or lend your support, here are two important charities we encourage you to check out: the National Center for Transgender Equality in the US and Mermaids in the UK.
