After its official announcement at The Game Awards 2022 , Blue Protocol looked to make its mark as one of the best MMOs around, bringing a JRPG twist to the genre at a time when the likes of Genshin Impact continue to rise in popularity. Blue Protocol also brings aspects from the best anime games to the popular multiplayer genre. MMORPG characters are typically defined by their class, so to make things easy for you, here are all the Blue Protocol classes and how they work.

Blade Warden Twin Striker Keen Strider Spell Weaver Foe Breaker Blitz Lancer
Blade Warden
If melee is your go-to fighting style, then the Blade Warden might be the ideal class for you. This stalwart knight is your ticket to traditional sword-and-board combat, offering exceptional crowd control. The Blade Warden is as a classic defensive tank, and while it’s certainly capable of going on the offensive, it particularly excels at protecting allies in battle.
Twin Striker
The Twin Striker is another close-range class, but unlike the Blade Warden, it dispenses with a shield entirely. Instead, it takes an all-out offensive approach, brandishing two massive axes in battle. The Twin Striker dishes out bonus damage when successfully performing attack combos, making it the best class for players that prefer accurate and fierce attackers.
Keen Strider
The Keen Strider is a ranged DPS support class, making it the perfect pick if you prefer to support your team while also staying (mostly) out of harm’s way. This class has a good mix of single-target and AoE damage, making it highly adaptable to a variety of combat encounters. It can also apply healing and damage buffs to allies, granting this class some excellent survivability both solo and in a group.
Spell Weaver
Spell Weaver is one for the die-hard magic users. This dedicated mage class is just what you’d expect: a long-range spellcaster that can comfortably defeat foes and support teammates from a safe distance. It specializes in dealing elemental damage, and the sheer number of status ailments at its disposal make it highly versatile in combat. However, Spell Weaver can fall foul of enemies with high Elemental Resistance, and a supportive group can make all the difference when opting for this class.
Foe Breaker
Foe Breaker is Blue Protocol’s answer to a Barbarian. This slow but powerful close-quarters class wields an enormous heavyweight hammer that also transforms into a sledgeball cannon – and when it hits, rest assured that it hits hard. The Foe Breaker also excels at inflicting stagger and other movement speed penalties on nearby foes, leaving them vulnerable to a blast from the cannon. If you prefer to charge into battle and defend your team from the front, then the Foe Breaker is likely the best Blue Protocol class for you.
Blitz Lancer
The Blitz Lancer strikes a happy medium between melee and ranged classes, able to adapt where needed thanks to its javelin spear. This agile class is able to use quick and stylish moves that deliver shockwaves, knockback, and devastating Lightning damage. The Blitz Lancer can also apply Sigils to both enemies and allies, and you’ll need to learn how to time them right if you plan to master this hybrid class.
